I am thinking about modding humans and dwarves to trade animals, like the elves do.

1. How would I go about doing this?

2. What influences what animals they bring, and what can I do to get them to bring more or specific types?

I know i can get animals off the Dorfs and Humans, although the Elves are the only ones who deal in 'exotic' animals, is that what you mean?

Hmm, not sure, the only tag in the entity description that seems like it would be related is [USE_ANY_PET_RACE]

Only Elves seem to have it.


Try adding that to the other entities and gen a world and see what happens.

As I thought would happen, it looks like you can ask for any animal in the trade liaison with that tag on.

I am going to do some more testing, to see if they actually bring them.

EDIT: The caravan also brought a black bear with them. I think this means they should bring the animals I requested, but I will test it anyways.

Please keep us informed on what happens.  It would be too cool to be able to request specific wild animals.

Alright, I tested it. I asked for some GCS's groundhogs and bears.

I got a few of these. I think I got a breeding pair of crocodiles, GCS's, wolves and bears.

So this is a cool discovery, but it is a little overpowered.
