I assume we'll get new items in the Item release, or if not, at least the ability to create such items.

the 1/2*mass*velocity^2 equation is for Kenetic Energy, I recognized that as soon as I rolled over from waking up even with my searingly painful headache.

I already forgot what the hell I was going to post....

If I find out who infected me with this bio-contaniment, there's going to be a whole lot of Fork in the Eye!

Yeah...  no new items yet.  Unless you count fireballs and other material blobs.

There is no release date.  I had optimistic projected the end of the month before, but I doubt I can do that...  this release has gotten larger than I thought.   Hmm....  if I get through Quaint Thorpe by the end of the year I'll be happy.

Slightly less hitting power??? What are you smoking? A well built crossbow could penetrate a platemail and a chainmail with the samt bolt, while a normal bow would have trouble penetrating the platemail.

I still do not understand that equation... Dont bother explaining it in detail since I will probably not need it in the future anyway.

Well if you should ever get tired of programming, just remember all the fans who love armok (me and the rest of the forumers, plus ten more who are to afraid to post)... Now that I think about it, maybe I should post your link here and there so we get some new posters here to the forum, with new wicked ideas... And if you get Quaint Thorpe released before the end of the year, I will buy you a donut.

Spelguru, Yes, there are some very nasty  metal based crossbows. I was comparing wooden bows and crossbows of the same level of technology.

Not to mention the british long bow, which put a crossbow to shame in all areas save one:  the need to train with it.

The longbows does have some hitting power and a nasty range, but the sheer hitting power of a crossbow cannot be surpassed with a bow or a longbow. It is also alot easier to hit with the crossbow. You just point and shoot. With bows or longbows, you have to aim carefully and be more awaring of strong winds.
