blinking dwarf under 'U'nit screen

What does it mean when my Clerk is blinking pink/pruple?

No, wait, that's not it...

Usually when a dwarf blinks, the typical "dwarf face" icon is alternating with another one - do you see something else between the blinks?

(Clerks are pink by nature - is he alternating colors???)

A dwarf that blinks to a lighter color is 'Legendary' in a skill, doesn't matter which skill it is though.

He's legendary in some skill, most likely recordkeeping.

Since this also implies his attributes are really high, many people like to swap in a new clerk and put the old one in the military.

If he's blinking a lighter colour, he's legendary.

If he's rapidly blinking red and yellow, he's on fire.
