I made a smelter reaction to make a uber valuable metal(mithril) in bulk. the bars of the stuff were worth 35,000

Did the bars show up on the embark screen? In-world values over 32k don't present a problem for me either; it's only when embarking that the overrun occurs.

Edit: oh, reaction, right. I am guessing that if one creates an ore that can be brought with initially it would have the same effect as the anvil. I'll test this later.
