DwarfManager crashes on startup

Recently I downloaded DwarfManager. The newest version, AFAIK. But when I try to open it, 99 out of hundred times it crashes on startup, giving me the standard Vista ''DwarfManager isn't working anymore, searching for solution'' error. The 1 time it does start up I can't load. Any help?

Can you be more specific about the version of Dwarf Manager and Dwarf Fortress you're using? I'm using DM 0.6 and DF 40d9, on Vista, and it works for me.

Dwarf Fortress: 40d.
Dwarf Manager: 0.7
