Make yourself a fort near adamantine, bring proficient armourers and weapon makers, make awesome adamantine stuff, abandon the fort, pick up your stuff as a dwarf adventurer (most valuable items gets randomly scattered around inside your fort, while the rubbish items like socks and bolts get scattered everywhere).

After you picked up your things, kill everyone in the world with a sock.

I once had a guy with artifact adamatine chainmail, A masterfull adamantine shield and a load of other adamantine rubbish. Elite bowmen couldnt kill him, only give him a little finger cut  ;D
Even had an adamantine sock that manaced with spikes of something retarded to kill everyone with.
And then he jumped into a pool and drowned, the fool  :P

Orc mod adds fun, they breed like rabbits in just about every biome.

Though as others said, it should give you waaay more options in future versions, like being able to dig a mini-fort with your adventurer and store things in it.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

Yea df companion(and a version that works with it) is the best way to buff your skills.  If you give the creature your planning to play as the [ENDING] tag I belive they will always start with legendary wrestler, but it will slightly break HFS if you forget to remove it in fortress mode.

Hey! Speed goes down.  At 1000 is standard.  700 is faster. (elf fast).  400 is like 4x legendary.  300 is run up to people chop their hand off, run away.  They never even saw you.

They're different values. In adventure mode higher is better, in the raws lower is better.

There's no need.

Attribute            Raw Speed     Displayed Speed
default                     700            1250
Agile                        630            1369
Very Agile                560            1515
Extremely Agile       490           1694
Unbelievably Agile  420            1923
Perfectly Agile         350           2222

Also hunger, thirst, tiredness and desire to sleep lower the speed, as well as "stunned" state.
Speed penalties are affected by the agility level:

Attribute     Prone or Sneaking    Stunned    Over-Exerted    Starving,Dehydrated,Very Drowsy or Tired    Drowsy,Hungry or Thirsty
default                     2000              1000             400                                  200                                                      100
Agile                        1800               900              360                                  180                                                        90
Very Agile                1600               800              320                                  160                                                        80
Extremely Agile        1400               700              280                                  140                                                        70
Unbelievably Agile    1200               600              240                                 120                                                        60
Perfectly Agile           1000               500              200                                 100                                                        50
