Melting Ice, without Magma
« on: May 10, 2009, 06:28:21 pm »

I have set up my own challenge which involves travelling to a glacier with a single pick, 10 mushrooms and 7 peasants.  I tried the method of using a cavein from the wiki to try and get water, however it didn't seem to melt.  Not sure if what I am doing is wrong.

"Melting" ice without magma entry

Any suggestions or is it impossible (remember, I have no booze so have a very short working span if I fail to get water)

Was the ice you tried melting above ground? If it was, when it melted it would immediately refreeze. Try making sure there is at least 1 layer of ice above the layers your are collapsing.
