im something like halfway through this yaweh and satan decide to reinvade earth. it is really awesome, and if they sold it at the bookshops instead of posting it online i would actually read it. the white text on blue background makes it possible to actually read it for long periods without burning my eyes away as well. some of the awesomeness includes -
(no big plot spoilers but if you want lots of constant surprises then dont read)
- ex president bill clinton taking out a succubus "with well practiced ease" using an automatic shotgun he keeps in his limo.
- careful study into the portals the demons use resulting in special forces groups running around guerilla style with 50 cal rifles in the 6th circle of hell, pulling ww1 veterans and 700 year old samurai out of eternal torment and recruiting them.
- reasonably well thought out and (as far as i can tell) accurate portrayels of guns, infantry, air and tank warefare, along with details about how countries are adjusting themselves to a total war footing and retooling their factories and workforces.
- 90 year old north korean (or chinese?) war veterans shooting then bayonetting a demon that popped up outside their retirement villiage on a random terror raid.
the writer seems to know what he is on about, its much better then most of the military fiction ive read in terms of realism. that is, as realistic as a war between the forces of hell and the human race with yaweh and his angelic host sitting on the sidelines.
so yeah, read it.
also i read around half of war and peace in high school, and i knew i recognized inalucts damned hidden message from somewhere. better pick a more obscure work next time, dear benevolent leader of the penguins.
