Demon killing spoilers

I know I have a demon hole, can they be killed by a simple drowning chamber?

Or do I need magma or something fancy?

The only way to naturally kill them like that is with a cave-in.

Not cage trap or anything? Can I link up a support for one massive cave in of a billion tons? And squash them like the lice on my head? I mean the dwarfs beards...  :o

Basically, if your military isn't up to dealing with them, your only option is a cave-in. Traps will not affect them unless they're unconscious (which can be caused by a cave-in). An old favourite from the 2D version was to crush the buggers under bridges, but try that now and the bridge gets destroyed rather than the demon being squished.

Tentacle demon.

Spirits of fire make the water evaporate before it his them.
Frog demons know how to swim /are amphibious.

You could always just throw all of your dwarves at the demons and reclaim if you get annihilated or can't endure the resulting tantrum spiral.

They should all resist magma. They all have [FIREIMMUNE] (it protects them from the Spirits of Friendly Fire). Only the spirits have [MAGMAVISION] though, which is for pathing through magma I think? Anyone with firsthand experience magmaflooding a pit?

Mixing magma and water to create obsidian might work, if you can get all of that going before they ruin your shit.  Fireimmune and NO BREATHE don't really mean anything if you're spending a thousand years encased in carbonite obsidian.

Ah. Obsidian. Good times.

I caught an elf stealing some cloth I had lying around and then selling it to me in the trade depot.

I encased him in obsidian and called him Elf Solo.

You should have mined a rock out of that encased Elf, and traded it back to the Elf Caravan.

Well if you put them in a pool of magma and then quickly cool it... It will kill them I THINK!

You can also throw them off cliffs via bridges... though they move very fast so timing is difficult.
