Just like shifts for ilitary but with jobs for civilians.

Actually, I would love this, but perhaps in a different way; have "modes" for dwarven squads, where you specify their jobs when each is activated.

When I'm not expanding, mining, and building lots of walls, I would go to my mason squad and make them all into farmers, and say "revert after one season" or something.

Alternatively, make your entire fort into craftsdwarves for a season to prepare for the traders.
