I'd like to see dwarves cede at least some of their possessions to other dwarves or the fort upon death.  No need to be buried with every bit of their (narrow jaguar leather loin cloth) collections.

Do you want your dwarfs to inherit their grandfathers' loincloth?
If I was that dwarf I would let him keep it.

No one ever thinks they'll want their grandfather's loin cloth... until by a baffling turn of events - nothing else will do.
