No, amendments are treated as a new proposal entirely.
Wouldn't that raise the possibility of an amendment passing despite the failure of it's attached proposal?
EDIT: Nevermind, I just realized that would require someone voting for an amendment and against the main proposal, which would be silly.

Basically, an amendment is treated as an upgraded version of a proposal.

Say, Mister Miner creates Proposal X which would have them bring such and such supplies on embark. There is no axe, only wood.

However, Mister Woodcutter wants an axe, but thinks the rest of the items chosen are good. Rather than making a nearly identical proposal with only that one change, he makes an amendment.

See what I mean? The name IS a bit misleading...

I'll start playing to day unless my bios fails to update successfully.

If that happens, I will have to fix it and then lay tomorrow.

Anyway, can some one type up an official constitution, then thanshin post it in the first post?

Edit:
Bios updated successfully.

Then 15 mins after I booted windows, it went to bsod for a split sec and then rebooted.

This is what happens now.

Linux wouldn't boot either until I used the grub bootloader rescue disk.

Now, Linux only boots from that disk and windows still gives me the error.
I can still play though using df_linux.

Still moving into it and backing up all my files.

Should start February first or so.

I request a dwarf from the first few Migrant waves. his name is to be fred, he is a mechanic and makes insanely complex traps for all your Dorfen needs.  :D *Pulls lever* then you can sit back and watch the Catsplosion tearing apart some orcs.. your military tear apart some orcs. i wish toady would add steam mills.. then we can have Thermonuclear catsplosion reactors. Though. we can't and i havn't been Dorfed yet so i cant vote anything.

So, df works, but, I can't find the save I had tried.

If you want, I can do a regen and try to play on that.
