How long do cave-ins take?
« on: October 14, 2006, 03:12:00 pm »

I just accidentally carved out a 7x7.  I have scheduled several redundant supports to be built, but I only have one architect, and he's off doing other things.

How long does it typically take for a cave-in to occur? Am I (relatively) safe in allowing the supports to be constructed whenever it's gotten around to (under the "normal" task scheduling), or should I force my architect to do it ASAP?

Thanks in advance.

It turns out that the answer is, "three seconds before your mason finishes the pillar."

Whoops - sorry, I meant to put this in "Gameplay Questions", not "Suggestions".

Sorry.

I'll shut up now.
