I already have Multimedia Fusion, so I have no need for this limited program. Even if it is somewhat easier to use.

*I* already have minGW and google, so if I cared to, I could make *anything*.
Of course, even the easiest game is quite hard when you are dealing with a full language...

Well if you do make a game, how about adding to that cliched plot some DF elements. Make the hero a great dwarf returning to his mountainhome (which is in the process of a tantrum spiral, explaining the many deaths), make the ennemies he fights DF-themed, give him quests like 'slay the GCS', 'get this item to the possesed dwarf so that he can make an artifact', stuff like that. Granted, it wouldnt make the plot itself less cliche'd, but it would make the game as a whole something original. A DF RPG game.

I think I'll try to make a game myself with this theme, maybe using Game Maker 7...

You know what I have always wanted RPG maker to support? Good old fashioned first person dungeon crawling, like Bards tale or the original Phantasy Star. Those kind of games are awesome, I don't care that they are old as hell.

It lacks the feel you know. Plus it means no mapping out the dungeons and stuff.
