A green glass window, or a cut-green-glass gem window, at max quality?

I would think the gem window, since the cut green glass gives it more value.

I would think the cut glass one, since a glass window is one object, but gem windows require three gems.

Cut gems have a value of 5, and no quality modifier so 3 of them = value 15

Windows have a value of 25 and can have a modifier, so value = 25*quality mod

So windows are clearly much, much better, even if gem windows get a construction modifier (which I don't believe they do).

I thought cut gems did get a quality modifier, otherwise why the gemcutting skill?

I thought green glass was 2 value, so would cut green class be 2x5=10?

Yes, so the 3 cut green glass gems window would be worth 30 monies.

However the green glass window also gets that, so it would be worth 50*modifier.

I didn't list it like that because the material mod is the same for both so it's irrelevant.

Guys, a window uses one unit of glass, a crystal window uses three cut units of glass.

So I am leaning towards the crystal glass.

does it matter that much? is it a test or to give youre whining king something nice?

Actually I want to limit the value of some dormitory housing-with-windows, and use the cheaper one.

Well, since it's green glass, you can just churn out a few of 'em, make a couple of constructed room, stick beds of equal qualities (check the expanded list to make doubly sure ) in 'em and put the window in one of 'em, and gem window in another. Assuming you have economy, and both of the rooms are built out of same materials and have internals of otherwise same values, you can see the value when you set it to a bedroom.
