Question - what are these for?

3 Clear Glass Vials (If possible, like I said I haven't checked. Also, not needed if the map you embark on has sand, and you'd want even more in the long run it doesn't)

Making an Alchemist's laboratory requires 3 Clear Glass Vials, and the lab is where you turn tallow into soap.

I'm curious what the barely conscious ai wrote about.
Well that went better than expected.  He went nuts and punched a rabbit to death, then the dogs and the whole dining hall ripped him to shreds.

4. I think the best option for un-adoption is a tightly sealed door in front of a retractable floor. Plenty of cat bones to be got that way and you could just forbid the door when you don't want to cull the pet population.

Can cats adopt people if you stuff them in a cage?  If not, I can see the value in bringing a cage, building it immediately, and stuffing the felines in the cage as fast as possible.

Urist Austin, Axedwarf.  A dwarf barely alive.  Gentledwarves, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic dwarf. Urist Austin will be that dwarf. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.

Kittens won't adopt if they're stuffed in a cage.

Their lack of eyes should stop them from crying.

I haven't checked since I'm not doing bugs until after the release (well, I'm doing bugs, in the additive sense).

No they don't. Either of them.

There are three things I know about dwarves:
1. They've got beards. Even the women.
2. They're short. Especially the women.
3. They're Scottish.

Oh, my ones must have adopted it before my dwarfs managed to round em up (there were 50 of them afterall) - be careful of this, as i found out - adoption = Uneatable-catsplosion.

Like I said, separate them from their owners with a pet impassible door + vanishing floor.

You can either use restricted traffic areas to set up a path pets will try to go through while dwarves use a side path triggering a plate that takes the floor away from the cat or you can have a side passage where the pet triggers a plate just before stepping on a longish bridge.

I don't worry too much when they adopt male cats. Female animals are almost the only factor in how fast their populations grow.

Nah, just have butchers on hand to deal with them when they pop out of the breeding cages. How else are you gunna make all those kitten mittens?
