[40d] Units marked as "nauseous"
« on: April 05, 2009, 09:50:59 pm »

While not technically a bug, this is incorrect. The correct term is nauseated.

Nauseous = something that causes others to be disgusted or sick

Nauseated = disgusted, sick. Unless you meant that a wolf with his guts spilling on the ground is making my dwarves feel sick, the first term is incorrect.

You had the guts to do what I did not, friend.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

A real dwarf would collect the guts and find some way to brew booze from them,

From my dictionary (which happens to be dictionary.com):

Quote
Usage note:
The two literal senses of nauseous, “causing nausea” (a nauseous smell) and “affected with nausea” (to feel nauseous), appear in English at almost the same time in the early 17th century, and both senses are in standard use at the present time. Nauseous is more common than nauseated in the sense “affected with nausea,” despite recent objections by those who imagine the sense to be new. In the sense “causing nausea,” either literally or figuratively, nauseating has become more common than nauseous: a nauseating smell.

Sorry...
