[39f]Invisible wounds

A farmer got attacked by a fire imp, resulting in a ton of brown wounds and a yellow joint, most of which healed shortly after. Within 3 days even the yellow wound restored itself but the farmer remained uncounsious long after. Checking up on him a month later reveals 3 red wounds, 8 yellow ones and almost everything else grey or brown. He did not engage into combat at any time after receiving his first injuries as he was passed out in the booze stockpile and the only enemies on my side of the river(river, not brook) were fire imps so a scuffle there would have caused some major fireworks.

I've run into a similar occurrence. I have a goblin execution range to get rid of captured goblins. Cage on one end of the area hooked to a lever, and a dozen or so marksdwarves stationed around. Open the lever hilarity and dead goblins ensue. One of the goblins was lucky and managed to get a single hit onto one of my dwarves. After first the dwarf was showing brown on "lower body" but now has no wounds, and is listed as thirsty. Has not moved at all since the incident. Nor has been moved to a "hospital bed".

^^^ You could try drafting/undrafting him, or possibly knocking him out with a nearby cave-in.  Those can occasionally "reset" a bugged creature state.

Could it have been because his clothes or something near him was on fire and caused the injuries due to heat some time after the original injuries?
