Lanternwebs has these two, both only two squads since the Orcs don't like to all attack at once, but the number of sword/axedwarves that I have tends to make a large number of body parts afterwards.

Well, this isn't where the gore originally occurred, and it's not as impressive as yours, but here ya go! Corpses everywhere.

Don't have any pictures (blood and gore disappears after a while...) but my favorite battlefield so far was the time that I set goblins and dwarves to both have [speed:1] and have only slashing damage on weapons.

it was... beautiful. Kinda like fireworks made of limbs and entrails.

hmm, i dont have any images, but the time i finally cracked and pitted the 200 or so animals off my giant tower of doom into the huge pit underneath was stupid. the shaft went through a few main areas of my fort so i could throw rubbish in at any level, and all the heads and limbs and miscelaneous organs.... bounced.... and ended up in every room on the way down, leaving little trails of blood. had to get half the fort to clean to avoid the miasma.

until that point i was allways trying to be nice to my animals and prisoners. those battlefield pictures you people have are epic.

I've got a pretty impressive one from when my marksdwarves and their war dogs took on a goblin siege in melee.  I lost a champion and a normal marksdwarf, but managed to kill (with a few cage-trapped) at least 30 gobbos.

For some reason, the goblin squads retreated after just a few casualties, leaving them wide open for my marksdwarves/dogs (plus one wrestler) to beat their butts all the way to Alpha Centauri and back again.  Then my speardwarf went around cleaning all the survivors' clocks.  ;D

I'd post it, but I don't know how to post a picture...

Anyway, I figure that the dwarves are only marginally less wasteful of metal than they are of wood. The moody dwarf's selecting only the best 5% of each bar of metal, and eats the rest to sustain him as he works on the artifact.

Marksgoblin siege of 1056
...

heh, thats the same year as the battle of hastings. looks like the normans didnt do so well this time around.

if df ever gets some kind of nice graphics system in the far flung future then this sort of violence will look awesome.

Squad "The Hail of Picks" consisting of 6 pump-operator/wrestlers, 2 unskilled craftsdwarves, and a legendary mason destroying three squads of lashers, hammerers, and wrestlers.

I wish I had taken screenshots of the sacking of Helmsbane, it was a massacre.  All seventy-plus dwarves died, as well as three wagons-worth of caravan guards.
