It won't bother them emotionally, but they won't drink from 'contaminated' water. Not good if your only water source after a siege has been bloodied up!

I think they will, but they don't like it. The other day, I had a dwarf with an unhappy thought because he "was forced to drink water that was contaminated with blood."
