Those darn cats
« on: March 25, 2009, 12:39:49 pm »

-Starting with random configuration nets me 4 cats.
-All four adopt to one dwarf.
-After giving birth, and before cages can be built, kittens proceed to adopt.
-All kittens adopt to the same dwarf.
-Said dwarf is female.

Now, how can I instill insanity that is non-lethal to herself or others?  I want to encourage a dwarf running around with 30+ cat pets, but no jobs/harm.  I suppose I can just call her the Crazy Cat Dwarf, but it's not as fun when she's not actually, you know, crazy.

As far as I know, insanity is always lethal.  You should be able to use Dwarf Manager to disable all of her hidden labors, though.

Yeah, figured that would be so.  Plus, I chickened out at around 11 cats.  Just started stuffing kittens into a single cage.  It's 4 pages long now.

Put the cage in her house and have it hooked up to a lever.

Oh! Oh! give her only Animal Caretaking and start spiking or dumping cats so she'll have something to do.

Hmm, since cats always land on their feet, can a cat have injuries anywhere other than on their feet?

I hurled cats down my dump once and they died quite efectively, so I dont think that applies in this game.

Perfect!  When some of the cat's eventually die from the random stabs hitting vital organs she'll eventually go crazy from the greif of losing pets too!

She'll be a crazy cat lady with a hundred cats living in a room painted red with blood and gore!  Perfect!

(I'm not going anywhere near that though.  Not even if she gives out $10 bills for Halloween)
