I'm in adventure mode, I'm not very good at it but I just want to try it. I kill some wolves and cougars, I go back to town to sell their corpses so I talk to the trader, however whenever I want to sell something he says: "Yes and trade we will! Simply tell me what interests you and what you're prepared to offer in exchange."
And when I try to buy something he says "These _are_ fine items, aren't they? Now, what do offer for them"

I select my items and fiddle around with the asdfghjkl buttons but nothing seems to change what he says when I press [t]rade, the bastards just won't trade. How do I solve this, am I doing something wrong?

Are you marking the corpses and what you want to buy for trade before pressing the trade button?

Otherwise it looks like he probably values his trade goods too highly to give them for corpses.  Check to see if you're wearing any giant cave spider silk clothing.  If you are, you can probably trade one piece of that for everything you ever wanted from the shop.

Corpses are worthless. Their value is 0 dwarf-bucks.

But you can do this with them.

Ah ok thanks, I was a bit confused as I think I remember selling corpses before in older versions. I guess I'll just have to find caves and loot the treasures without getting eaten by giants?

If you realy need money go out of town so there is no lag or delay and pick up as much clay,sand what ever the road is made of besides some rocks you might have to test cause when I need money I just grabe a pack full of sand and go in and sell for 3k-5k easy than loot the shops of what I want when I got every thing I need from the people I go to the next town, after every one the coins are usfull for are empty of what I want I go sell thouse coins for a small amount of other coins and start giveing them more sand to chew on.
