Ok, so far the subject of beds and the rooms they're in has been preety confusing to me, so could someone try to clear these things up?

1) Do i need to go through each individual bed in a bedroom/barracks and set the room size?
2) Should i go through each bed an assign it a unique owner?

1. Barracks: You just need to make one bed into a barracks, and any beds that are in its radius are counted as barracksi too. I think. >_>

Bedrooms need to be made into rooms individually, though. Though it only takes like 1 minute to get through fifty of them if they're all built already.

2. You don't need to assign them, unless you want a specific dwarf in that bedroom. Otherwise, the first dorf that sleeps in there, is assigned the bedroom.

As long as it's designated AS a bedroom, and not just a bed in a hole in the mountain.
