Hi, everyone. I just got dwarf fortress, and it seems great so far, except for the fact that the sound won't work. I'm using Mike Mayday's graphical download, and for some reason, when I download and play the vanilla DF on the official website, it has sound there.

I put SOUND:ON and VOLUME:255, so I don't see what I could be doing wrong here. Even pressing escape during the game leads to a greyed-out, unselectable options box.

I feel like such a moron. I had it backwards. It was

SOUND:255
VOUME:ON

I hope I didn't waste any space. Someone should lock or delete this thread.
