My mural needs help

I have the perfect image picked out, all the stones needed to build it save for two. Are there are dark brown/light brown stones? I think jet is one of them, but I have to import it and don't know yet.

Not really, unless you mod the colors.  Yellow and mustard are the only "brown" spectrum colors supported.

These: http://www.dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/Color are the colours in vanilla DF.

You can see other possible colour palettes here: http://www.dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/Color_schemes. You can also mod your own (the second link has info on that), but DF only supports 16 colours currently.

Checking back on them in comparison to true brown, they are indeed a mustard color.

 Well, these are vanilla colors. Edited colors look much better. The one I used for Healedabby is a personal favorite, mostly because everything is muted enough to prevent contrast problems.
