I think that that is just so appropriate for DF. It even fits the design ideals- it's like the kind of cover you'd see from the 80s.

If I ever "buy" DF on a CD, that is the image I want it to have on the front.

I like it, but the elephant bugs me. People have to get over the "elephants are ravenous killers" mentality. They haven't been for a very, very long time.

Oh they still can be, if a hunter attacks one.  The rest will swarm it in self defense.  This happened to me in adventure mode once.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

I personally think it looks classier without the drop of blood.

Maybe it would be okay if it matched the rusty red of the rest of the cover, I don't know. I'd also like to see how the eye would look if it were made russet like the background.

Needs demons milling below and goblins dancing above.

I dunno, I think I'd rather see the dwarves tunnelling into magma rather than the elephant sneaking up behind the dwarves... Nonetheless, the legend of Boatmurdered sure does linger onwards, doesn't it...

Praise the miners!

Yeah, that thread looks awesome. Those would look so much better in a booshelf than the real boxes.
