Deconstructing trade depot
« on: February 09, 2009, 12:59:49 pm »

In my last fort (started today, ended today) I accidentaly deconstructed trade depot when traders were still standing on it. Immidiately my dwarves started to store all goods traders have brought. And they just stand there and cry "we need trade depot to unload our goods". And then dwarf who failed to make artifact went berserk.

What would happen if I just deconstructed depot, stole all goods and let traders wait and eventualy leave? Would they be angry?

Yes, that counts as stealing their goods, but strangely enough they don't get too angry if you only do it once.  If you did it for ten years straight, they might get pissy, but as long as you don't slaughter them AND steal their goods, in my experience, they might get their feelings hurt a little but they'll still be back next year.

You can also steal the armor and clothes off their backs but they don't count you taking their personal property as stealing from them, only when you take from the caravan.
