Let me clarify:

I do not know much about whether to support or oppose flag burning.  Therefore I can't decide if I should throw my lot in with your desperate cause or not.  If only someone were to discuss the issue with me, I could be persuaded to action.

Just don't douse both the flag and the arm you're holding it with in gasoline before you light it, or you'll be in for a bit of a surprise.

As for whether you should burn flags, just know that every time you burn a flag, God kisses a kitten.

That is enlightening.  I'll come by the forum later tonight.

Flags? Thou are in luck! I open the flag-burner service! Thee just need to package the flags to:
1281023 Nigeria Baghdad Moscow

Argh, I don't want to disclose my details to the conservative mob!

Anyway, I support this suggestion.

Since apparently I should have played my LCS games through a little more without starting over so many times (every time I play for a little while do something else, and then come back after a week or so I feel I have to start over), maybe I should just change the suggestion to just adding the response options to random events.

So like starting riots after a police beating event could cause a sizable increase in awareness public opinion in regards to the police regulation issue.  Or the liberals you chose to organize it could get arrested or killed during the riot.

It could also give you a chance to work on some of the issues that don't seem to have another way of influencing the public.  Like we can raid the lab and free animals to affect opinion on animal rights, but what kind of action can we do to affect opinion on taxes and homosexual rights?  A special riot or protest option after an event related to these issues could offer an opportunity.

Rig the jury and free prisoners within the Courthouse. That's how you affect views on taxes and homosexual rights.

Actually, I don't think the courthouse covers taxes. Striking the CEO House, Corporate Headquarters, downtown apartments, or gentlemen's club should do taxes though. Basically focus on rich people.

Is any of this on the wiki? I think it might be useful information.

Nah, but seeing Conservative justice break down pushes the presiding Judge towards becoming a meddling activist.

In a rather amusing twist, the ONLY proper way to dispose of a flag is by burning it. I actually think it is the only legal way to dispose of one, but if it is the laws themselves are fairly old.

AFAIK there are no federal laws on the subject.  I think that's all from the Flag Code put out by [insert group here -- is it the American Legion?].  Unless there's some state law to the contrary, I'm pretty sure it's perfectly legal (if socially appalling) to wipe your ass with the flag.

The U.S. Flag Code was actually put out by Congress back in the 40s, based on the code constructed by the military in the 20s. It's federal law, but it's essentially unenforced (as e.g. the proliferation of flag pins on politicians' lapels makes fairly clear), and enforcement probably could not currently get past the Supreme Court in any case.

Shows what I know.  That is has "no penalty for failure to comply with it" is probably why I didn't think it was, in fact, law.
