[40d9] Elven animal abuse!
« on: February 13, 2009, 10:23:13 pm »

Ive been getting some elven traders with some good animals when I let them out I discovered they had brown wounds to all of their internal organs, they still breed and act as normal but I thought this was a bit strange.

Pretty sure that has something to do with temperature.  Has been reported a few times before.  In really bad cases, the animals are dead by the time they reach your depot!

Yeah, most foreign animals won't survive the trip to your depot in freezing regions (tundra, taiga, and glacier, usually).

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Yea I read some posts where the animals die on arrival but I am in a temperate climate that only freezes during winter. The elves arrive in spring so there shouldn't really be a problem, unless it happens while they are moving over world map.

Yep. I once abandoned and checked and the nearest elf retreat was across a desert AND a glacier.
