I would love it if someone would edit the default 8x12 set for these walls.

I don't have the default set, but I do have a variant of the original 9x9 that I edited to remove the bed/barrel tiles and bring them back to ASCII goodness. I'll post that later tonight when I have access to it. I'll also see about modifying the 8x12, but I suspect that diagonal walls work much, much better on square tilesets.

EDIT: Here's the re-ASCIIed 9x9:

I'd love for someone to mop up my tileset as I can't figure out why it's doing that.

It looks like your west-south corner is just misaligned by a pixel in each direction.

Could someone edit the default square set so that it has diagonal walls?  I prefer the default ASCII for the most part, but I like the idea of smooth walls.
Since no one more experienced responded, I tried it myself.  The results so far look nice, but would result in a squiggly line if you made a diagonal line of walls.  So I consider it a failure and ask again if someone else could edit the 16x16 curses tile set to have smooth walls.

Well. Thanks!

I may create angled-wall option for my latest (16x16) tileset.

Bah! I've been doing sloped walls for months!</crotchety>

Looks like a nice tileset, there. Planning to improve this for the new Alpha-channel settings?

I think I'll see if I can put this into my 8x8 tileset tomorrow, further transforming my current tileset into a combination of all the cool things from the other tilesets I've seen.

Shameless plug:

My tileset uses Dorten's smooth walls, but converted to 3d.  Still looks good, albeit the diagonal walls take a cogwheel pattern.

Has other stuff that I modified/invented, too.

Not to take any of Dorten's glory, though - way to go!   :D
