Actually 25 with the cage, vermin cost 5. If I find another cage, I'll try to sell the 5 live roaches I just picked up. If I wouldn't rather break legs with flying roaches, that is.

I'm pretty sure tamed vermin are more valuable than untamed ones, it would be cool if there was a way to tame them in adventure mode.

Indeed it is.  The hook symbol is weight, adventurers can never get the Appraiser skill, so you can never know what things cost.
