Gobbo thieves already have trapavoid, don't they? And you can just make you trade depot floodable.

Yep, since I am using the LL mod, I tend to don't build traps at all.  :)

No, they can avoid traps, they just suck at it.

The problem is you don't see the ones that avoid the traps. Unless the cat spots them.

After walling off my place, if I think there's an ambush somewhere, I throw a cat off the wall and have it walk back.

Oddly enough, very effective ambush-spotter.

So there's that, as well. It looks like the only chronic problems that water can't cure are nausea and cave spider bites.
Which, coincidentally enough, can be cured by magma.
