Author Topic: [40c] Merchants confused after overflowing from depot suspended over chasm  (Read 1191 times)

The merchants leading pack animals passed right through my trade depot, went down a set of stairs and have been pathing back and forth along the causeway below my depot.  I was unable to trade with the merchants as they were still waiting to unload fully, and now they are not leaving.  My trader was shot and wounded while at the depot, as several bow goblins unloaded their quivers at the depot during an ambush.


When the merchants first came to the depot the 5 floor tiles directly to the south of the depot were not there, the floor tile walkway over to the stairs leading to the depot were only 1 tile wide as well (the northern line of 10 being constructed was not there)

I also replaced the 1 tile wide bridge beside the larger bridge north of the depot, it was wooden, and was replaced with stone blocks (so there were a few confused dwarves who had planned to path over it, I'm unsure if this has anything to do with why the traders are confused)

ah i just remembered I also issued the all dwarves stay indoors order, which may be why the merchants went down the stairs in the first place

building a ramp for the merchants on the lower level allowed the merchants to finally leave
however it would still seem to be a bug that the merchants were able to go down the stairs in the first place, unless they jumped down
