[40d3] Shift+arrow crashes DF
« on: December 28, 2008, 11:21:47 am »

Trying to do a shift+move to move the screen crashes DF.  Going to re-extract the folder to see if this corrects the issue.
If I'm the only one experiencing this, I'll post additional system info to better diagnose.

[edit: Yes, occurs on vanilla install, in both windowed and full-screen]

Vista Ultimate x64
Intel i7
12Gb RAM
ATI 4870 X2

gamelog.txt doesn't seem to have captured anything interesting, so if there are additional debug switches I need to use for the exe, please let me know.

I am also having a problem with shift+arrow, in 40d4.  Not just shift+arrow, but shift+U in the pre-embark screen also seems to crash it.

Vista Home Premium 32bit
Intel 2 core 6400
GeForce 8800 GTS
2gb RAM

There seems to be a [HUGE] problem when i press shift + any key. To test this, go into design a world with parameters, and press shift + any key when giving a copied setup a new 't'itle.
In fact, i pressed shift+q (lol) among other shift + key combinations (even useless ones like shift+space) on the title screen, and the game STILL crashed.

So clearly, something is going on with the shift button.
[Even more oddly is that it happens completely randomly in fortress mode, so you could be scrolling through levels then BAM, crash.]

"Simultaneous keypresses crash in 40d3/40d4, instead of being fixed. A patch has been sent."
So that's why it only happened some of the time.
