Problem not solved.

I wasn't sure where to ask this.

I have heard tales of macros/etc. for designated predesigned dig/build shapes with a few keystrokes. Is this a myth, and if not, how is it accomplished?

Well, crud. It would appear that the guides listed herein are applicable only to Windows.

I guess I can try to find a Mac hotkey program and figure it out...

All forms of macro recording software on the Mac are between 25 and 40 dollars.

ehh new mac's ar not completely useless, least I can fix them now that they are based on a freeBSD core.
