Does anybody...
« on: December 23, 2008, 03:44:40 am »

Do you guys have ANY method of approach for the game on the specific aim of winning? My methods suddenly stopped working, so yeah, shoot the best thing to do from the top.

Kidnap people en mass, don't do appear on the news unless you have the liberal guardian up and running.

Hacking gets you files to publish.

Sounds good. Do you have any idea what 'Dead in Congress' means?

Also I've no idea what being for 'Status Quo' and being for 'Change' does.

Oh shit, the CCS just killed my best guy. I was winning with hacking and publishing stuff till they came by... Gonna start again.

Dead in Congress means that either the House or the Senate voted down the Bill.  Being for change means that the law proposed will happen, being for Status Quo means the law will not happen and things will remain as they were.

You will need more bussiness, try to max it out, that way he can't use ecconomics to his advantage. Starve him for two days or so, then try to convert him. once he likes you, undo his restraints (unless he is at 1 heart).

Props help.

You don't need CEO's or Scientists to win as far as I know.  Try getting some cultural sleepers instead.

Taking down the CCS fast is vital IMO because you don't want them to get too much time to become strong.  Gangsters are quite good for this if you train them up to 100 juice with easy raids (spray 20 tags on the homeless shelter 5 times for example.)

The way I do this is having a lot of good writers up at the Guardian, so that public opinion of the CCS goes to a corner and shoots itself.

I prefer being able to disband.

Okay... damn, you'll want to do something about the CCS before they show up...

I can't find any CCS members although they show up on the news. Any clues?

They tend to camouflage themselves as yokels, hicks etcetera. A good bet on finding them is entering the Gentleman's Club and waiting around until you find a yokel, hick, rube or whatever else there is to define a redneck in the game.

Using drugs can level the playing field while interrogating hostages, but it kills their health and they can OD. Also it pretty much changes every mechanic of interrogation making like/dislike far more valuable. Note that you must kill their noterity first in order for their stats to start changing and if they have any interrogation skill you are extremely unlikely to convert them for sleeper status. Your best bet if you can afford it is to use guitars on them for a couple of turns with a 6 man extremely skilled squad then kidnap them and run for the exit. That  will both kill their juice and raise their heart if you do it long enough. You probably will have someone convert though so be prepared for that.

Its also worth noting that they can appear as mercs or soldiers (including veterans).

Since your interrogator has such high stats and psychology skill, you could probably just pick every nice option and add drugs in to get fast, low risk conversions.  It won't work well against hostages with interrogation skill, but drugs allow your persuasions to be very effective against all other hostages.
