Speaking of games, the dwarven children should play more games, be obnoxious, and sometimes help with tasks. Sometimes "help" would involve messing the task up horribly, yes, but the children should get minor skill gains in social and some physical labor. Citizens who like children could teach them things, which would give the citizens a happy thought, and the child some minor experience in something.

That's just my thought, though.
