Messing around in Legends mode.

Every got a super WTF feeling when you're using legends mode

Well, i found this demon guy on my historical figures list:

Probably some animal.

But hey, if he's a spirit of fire, shouldn't the elf guy's teeth get incinerated before he even took a bite?  ???

He's a Demon demon, not a Spirit of Fire demon, so no.

It was a attack, this demon happened to be the leader of a goblin civ, it seems.

A nice thing to point out: That elf in particular was leading the defenders during the attack. I wonder if thats how elves win battles, by having their commander eat the enemy general :o ?

"an unknown creature" in legends mode is generally someone of insignificance. You can turn off 'cull unimportant historical figures' in the world gen menu in order to get full lists of every creature rather than just the important ones, and you won't get any 'an unknown creature's anymore.
