Argh! NO! Do not slip away to the second page!!!

Virvipop could no longer keep herself calm. What emerged from the darkness was the most horrible thing she had ever seen.
It could only be described as a purplish human with the head of a dragon, the thick limbs of an orc and a skin made out of scales. It was covered in ooze and dirt and many other things she could not even identify.
She began to step backwards, towards the door. Moments later, the dragonman began to run after her.
Virvipop tried to stay calm, but as it came closer, she could not keep her nerve to correctly cast a spell. Only faint sparks of lights came out of her hands. Fear took over as she screamed.
Suddenly, the Talking Book slips out of left hand. It levitates in front of her and turns towards the dragonman.
The dragonman himself, however, does not hesitate because of this magical trick, and decides to quicken his pace, since he is nearly at leaping distance.
The book itself starts spinning around itself. The dragonman leaps, but the Talking Book shoots a white bolt that hits it right in its head in mid-air.
The dragonman shatters in to a thousand pieces that quickly dissappear, leaving no evidence of its existence at all.
Virvipop could not even believe what happened. She knew her Talking Book had sentience, but never had it acted on its own to save her.
"Ta--taalking book?"
"Yes, madam?" Virvipop calmed down as she heared the familiar voice.
"You... you did that all by yourself?"
"Indeed. This magical aura must have increased my power. I feel... free. Sentient."
"That's... that is amazing! This is the most extraordinary thing I have ever experienced. Never has a magical aura ever influenced an object as much as now. This... this..."
"This is the only the beginning, madam. You'd better get outside."
Slightly stunned she looked at the talking book.
"Al... alright."
She began to walk towards the door, her talking book levitating next to her. Every few steps, she looked back, still not believing this had happened.

Did you just post a bunch of vegi-dicks on my board?  I've been trying to combat forum devolution a bit, and that involves fewer vegi-dicks!

Aye. I find it intriguing, but do not feel it neccessary to post. Sadly, this currently seems to apply to the entire forum... Oh well.

You do not feel necessary, but you do post. So, that post is abundance.
Abudance kills.

Ah. I have fond memories of this. A pity I was somewhat stuck on the story, though...
Would there be a possibility that this could once again become alive? *mysterious gaze*

Asheron, if you want to and you've got the time, why not try starting up another one of these things? Same general game mechanics, but a different setting and storyline, see how much interest you can snag. You've already got Armok's support, and I supose you've got mine too.

You also have my support. I need something to do between updates in Martian's RTD, and this looks like fun.
