Which parameters would I have to adjust to get plentiful volcanos, sands and underground rivers, as well as lots of goblins?

The only one I know is volcanoes, which I do myself. It should be min_volcanoes:15 or something. Just change it to a higher value. Mine is on 120 for large maps.

World gen is a very inexact art.  The only real answer is to experiment, experiment, experiment.  That being said:

More volcanos: Higher volcanism

More sand: Higher erosion

More goblins: Higher mountains

Also, you can manufacture vomit at a smelter.  Subsequently removing the smelter spews vomit over a surprising area.

Hm, thanks for suggestions, I'll fiddle with parameters and see what I can turn up.
