I embarked on to a human town with a dwarf civ at war with the elves. In the fall of the second year, I got the (new?) elven ambush message (An ambush! curse all friends of nature!) however there were no elves to be seen. After checking the unit list carefully, the only invader was... a horse.

After unpausing it, a few seconds later I get the normal goblin ambush message (An Ambush! Curse them!) and a bunch of elves appear, one of which is riding the horse who caused the earlier ambush message.

Next spring, I once again got the goblin ambush message (An ambush! Curse them!) but there were Elves. A few seconds later, I got another one, and this time... it was the horses that every single elf was riding.

So the bugs seem to be the 'friends of nature' ambush message (I assume the new one for elves) does not show up right, and also that mounts get separate ambush messages from their riders. Elves riding horses might be a third bug, or maybe not.
