Pond/Pit question (with goblins)

Hello everybody,
I was just wondering if you guys can help me with something
can you put goblins in ponds/pits if there are in cages and not tamed?

any creature can be put in a pit or pond, just make sure the dwarf isn't distracted or the creature will be released

Any warrior goblin will willingly be thrown, but a thief, kobold or goblin, will run.
