Gang-bashed by everyone in vicinity (adventure mode)
« on: December 03, 2008, 06:03:22 am »

So I was just done reporting my defeat of a Titan to some druid, and getting another quest to kill a dragon for him.

After walking one tile away, the Druid plus all four of my folk who were all skilled in some weapon or other started talking crap to me and began to assault me.

I was raped by my own recruits for no reason at all.

I believe this warrants save scumming. Yes.

Ok, after re-establishing my position in the world after my unfortunate deceasing, after saving shortly before, I reported our victory to the druid again. And once again, everyone became an enemy to me.

I have the save with me.

I bet that what you have there is that the Titan became worshiped by the elves, and the bug was that they sent you on a quest to kill their god. But that wouldn't make the others hate you... so many questions.

So this was the first quest you did for the druid?  When you complete a quest, you gain an affiliation with the civ, but unfortunately since the druid attacked this means that the questin civ is at war with some other of the druid's affilliations (or itself) somehow...

Having the save would make it easier to figure out.  I'll need the region folder in some kind of zip/rar/7z, and any new objects that were added to the raw folder.  If it's less than 20 megs, you can send it to toadyone@bay12games.com.  You can also try The Dwarf Fortress File Depot which has a special section for bugged saves.

In the meantime, if you want to investigate, you can look at the affiliations in your 'Q' log, and see what civs you become enemies of.  If you want to do more work, you could abandon a copy of the save and check out the legends and see if the elf civ ever went to war with whoever your affiliations are, to see what's setting them off.

Okie dokie. Does it matter if my adventurer is blind and retired? She had her eyes torn out by a wolf :(

As long as it's before you report the victory to the druid it'll work out.  Is the save from before you even took the quest?  Or had you retired before you reported?

No, I've completed the quest five or so "months" ago. I just haven't reported it because I know I'll be killed again.

I'd get my adventurer back up and running to help but my computer seems to dissaprove of that right now, so you're going to have to find the druid in the dark, unfortunately.
