cages and temperature are weird..

i have a magma and a fire man, and i want to cage them. will they melt/burn the cages? or will they be contained without trouble?


EDIT: you can. at least i did and nothing burned/melted. yet.

you can cage them ok, however I had a lot of mysterious fires originating from my zoo in an old fort.  I blamed the caged fire imp (green glass cage)  however I was never able to confirm this, it was more a case of finding burning dwarves in that area and not being able to see any other possible explanation.  Cages wont burn if there is a fire type creature in them though, even wooden ones.
