Has anyone tried to combine two saves from the same map into one by brute force yet? Just paste the things together?

It's nearly 99% chance of destroying your save game. Want to try?

Really?

i think (only personal opignon) that the base of that idee is not bad, but i won't go so far for the first time, let's just say that a in a pregenerated world, many player can make fortresses on different points, it would be nice if we could marge these for the first time somehow, (supposed that all fort have been abandoned befor the date X where the map will be after everything is merged)
Like that it could alredy be quite massive, and this version seems to me more make-able.

why not just implent the idea without (at this point) bothering to make some sort of terrain adjusting feature.

sure it won't fit, but it can be done later and nobody will care in the short term...

Don't need terrain adjusting if they all start on the same map.

If such a World Existed then you'd have to worry about digging into some bad.
and by bad i mean worse than carp,  Worse than skeletal carp, something that send elephants and cannible elves fleeing in terror, something told about to horrfiy gobbo/kobbo children by their demonic overseers who also fear this thing.  the ultimate evil of dwarven history, you'd have to worry about digging up....
Boatmurdered
and then watch as your fortress is overrun by flaming sleketal insane dwarfs and kittens and they destroy your fortress, your world, your save files, your hard drive, your computer and finally your soul.

in other words this needs to be done for the betterment (read destruction) of dwafkind.
