Hi all, I just downloaded STA and played my first few sessions, all of them resulting in a horrible death.

My first adventure was ended by a killer rabbit that would put the Monty Python ones to shame. First it bit me in the leg, causing me to fall and then it ate my brain.Bummer.

My second try wasn't really better, I tried to take revenge on them damned rabbits, but failed again. After a furious fight with a long-eared fiend, we both lay on the ground, unable to move but still hitting each other. That was the moment when I discovered the magic arts and blew my enemies to bunny heaven with some strange spell. Now that I had won the fight, I tried to heal myself. At first I succeded, after some nerve-healing spell I could move my head again. Then I accidentally rended my big toe. Ouch. Well, I thought, maybe if I was made of stone, it would make my situation better. It didn't. After I lay there for hours, stoned (hehe) and unable to move, I tried some regeneration spell and died. The End

Long story short, I'm completely lost, the manual doesn't help, can someone explain the game to me ( probably an epic task) or provide me with a better manual?

I guess the most help I can give you is that the version number ("0.04.00") means the game is 4% done.  There aren't any goals, there's no way to win, combat is totally unbalanced, why a character dies isn't completely clear, um...  and more.  I think maybe in a year the game will be slightly better.

I apologize for the confusion.  Perhaps I should place a few notes of clarification on the web site...

Well, today, I spent a lot of time on horrible horrrible experiments with animals ( let's see how long a rabbit can survive without lungs, hehe) and had lots of sadistic fun.  

Even at the current state, the game is amazing, but some documentation would really help.

For expample, how does the universe creation thing work? I go to details, there's some stuff on the top left corner ( seeds or something ) with plusses and minusses where I can't change anything. On the right, all the things require files, but there are none.

Oh, and congratulations for making such an incredible game, good luck with any further development!

About the universe details screen, it got caught between two upgrades.  That is, I recently upgraded the resolution to 1024x768, and I also was PLANNING to upgrade the universe editor to be more powerful, so I didn't upgrade the editor to the new resolution.  I released in between these changes, either by accident or time-pressure.  I don't remember which.  Anyway, if you want to play around with that, jump down to 640x480, and I think it might work.

Thanks for your positive comments.  Hopefully your characters will be rewarded with clothing by the end of the year.
