Anyone notice this?

When you drop something your character throws the item up into the sky as hard as they can. As if to poke Armok in the eye.

They're not trying to poke Armok in the eye. They're doing complicated scientific experiments.....throwing things at the moon the see whether or not it actually exists, until they really hit it, they won't fall for that obvious government hoax.

WE SHOULD NOT THROW A SWORD IN ARMOK'S EYE, WHEN WE HAVE A LOG IN OUR OWN.  Wait...  no...

I mean, I was testing projectiles.  The sword used to drop straight down (with no initial velocity) and hit the ground...  sometimes... with crashes.  Now it goes up and down through the ground without crashes.  A happy medium will hopefully be attained with the item release.

I think Skeletony's Randi wrote a giant essay on the moon hoax.  There are lots of enjoyable things to read on the internet.

Stanford maths wiz but writes a game where you can't drop an object with out crashing. Sheesh Tarn, thought when I checked back here you'd have finished your totally realisticly modeled universe by now...  :)

Downloading current version now (if my steam powered comp. can cope with a universe emulator).

...

hmm...

Like demon said before, clothing is the lifeblood of a fantasy setting!  Or was it magic...  wait, yeah.  Well, regarding the topic of your other post, there's a lot of synergy between the right clothing and that.  It'll be good.

You and X are like a tag team.  Do you coordinate your reappearances?

James Randi was on TV (UK) the other evening - for Psychic Night! He came on and amazed the audience with his mind reading powers, convincing everyone it was possible, then debunked it all by saying they had just looked everyone up on friend reunited.  :)

Class dude.

Yeah Randi is as close to a hero as I have.Unlike other notable figures in the skepticism movement, he does not bend over backwards to appease particular types of irrationality(i.e. god-worship).He is an equal oppurtunity skeptic!

Another cool guy is Ian Rowlands(from X's neck of the woods), professional magician, skeptic and debunker and author of The Complete Guide to Cold Reading.

Don't rush yourself or anything.  I hope the next Armok will be done for Christmas.  It's hard to say.  August was kinda dead because I was studying for my oral exams, which just got cancelled right before they were supposed to happen (next Monday).  I don't know when they'll be now.  It's hard to get three professors in the same room at the same time, and for my thesis defense, I have to get five of them together!  I'm leaving for Seattle/France for three weeks, and when I get back, school will start up.  I have a free quarter from teaching, so I'll be able to work on my thesis, and Armok, which is like another thesis I guess.
