[40d] Spontaneous goblin (clothing) combustion.

I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug or just some wierdness that has a rational explanation but I thought I would post it here.

Over a couple of seasons I captured a number of goblin thieves and a wrestler or two.  The wrestlers managed to get fairly far into the fortress before backtracking into the cage traps. I originally intended to have a death pit where they would be fodder for my Swordsdwarves but I was getting so many I couldn't keep up so decided to make a magma chamber with bauxite floodgates and mechanisms.

So I place my five goblins into my magma death chamber still inside their cages and let rip with the magma.  Predictably the goblins die a firey death and all is well with the world.  Except I am looking around my fortress and over by the cage traps a whole lot of goblin clothing has just spontaneously combusted and is burning away merrily.

The fire quickly goes out without burning any other clothing in the same pile and I am left baffled but happy.  Is it possible that dropped clothing can get the temperature of its owner and combust or is there a more rational explanation?

It's the cages.

000178 □ [dwarf mode][items]   (Report) when cage traps are consumed by lava, the corpses of the dead go to capture location
