Just a generic thread discussing sport. Really, all you need is to talk about it. What do you play? What do you watch? Is sport a waste of time, money and labor? Does it have a place in society? Are all Bay12er's skinny/fat nerds with no hand-eye coordination? [insert question]?

As for what I'm in to. I enjoy a cross-country running/map reading sport called orienteering. I also dabble in hacky(with either soccer ball or sack) and ultimate Frisbee with my mates. Flame me if you must but I also enjoy playing a game of social

Cricket isn't too bad, it's like baseball with a bigger bat, two bases and a ball that needs to be bounced.

Besides, the cricket bat would probably be a better wepon to use against zombies than a baseball bat, and that is all that matters.

Why do we call it the World Series when there are only a few countries that participate?

I'm quite good with anything that involves a racquet. But I have problems with rules and the "don't hit people" parts.

I personally participate in amateur boxing and extremely amateur ("yard tard" league) mixed martial arts.  To my credit, I had an honest-to-Armok match with a real-life amateur boxer, and he quit after the second round.

I also lift weights and jog.  Sunday night I benched a new ORM of 275 pounds.  That's nothing spectacular, but it's an accomplishment for me.

How 'bout those Gators, baby?  Woo!  The highest-scoring team in the entire SPORT this year!  We're gonna trash Vanderbilt this weekend just like we did the past two weeks.  Vandy's coach said something along the lines of, "There's two ways we can beat the Gators this week, either the ref doesn't see us sneak an extra man on the field, or a plane crashes on the Gators while they're practicing."

Watashi wa supootsu o shimasen.

I play nothing but I watch football. Go Philidelphia Eagles! I support you even without Randall Cunningham. And sheesh, look at the NFC east. Not a single losing record.

Well i find that wakeboarding is one of the most enjoyable sports i have ever done. Easy to learn hard to get good at. I love the feeling of waking up before everyone else has, and the water as still as glass; running your hands over that silky water before attempting a 360 backroll, not that i have ever done one and probably won't for a while, just puts a smile onto my face every time.

Football is good for wasting the energy that's overflowing you.

Not rugby in armour of course, normal, sane football.
