Getting started again
« on: August 13, 2002, 10:43:00 pm »

Now that my computer is fixed, I've started working a little again.

Universes are now actually persistent.  That is, if you visit a certain hill top, quit, delete all of your save files, and reconstruct the universe with the same seed, the hill top will still be there waiting for you.  This wasn't quite true before.

I've started "fields" and "flows".  This includes things like temperature, rainfall, mist, evil, wind, air to breathe...  that sort of thing.

Then vegetation...  biomes...  ecosystems...  random wilderness encounters...  interacting with the ground...  enhanced travel...  and bugs.  Many bugs.  Maybe I'll make the wilderness music better.  The world generation interface will also take advantage of all of the new features.

Maybe now that I've stopped throwing up all over everything I can actually start.  Pfft.
